What is Built to Rent?
Build to Rent means modern apartments, with communal spaces and an on-site management team.
How do I book a viewing?
You can do this through our website or email us at each specific site eg. dalstonworks@homebyhone.com. We’ll find a time that works for you.
What’s included in the rent?
Rent covers the apartment, access to communal spaces, concierge and WiFi throughout the building. Utilities and Council Tax are billed separately. We’ll give you a clear and thorough breakdown before you sign up to rent.
Are the apartments furnished?
Yes. All apartments are fully furnished, so you can settle in without the stress of moving large items. Just bring your essentials.
What do I need to apply?
You’ll need photo ID, proof of income and a reference. It’s a simple process – we’ll guide you through it.
Can I have a pet?
Yes. Dogs and cats are welcome in your apartment and many of the communal spaces. You’d need to let us know more about your pet when you apply, and we need to ensure it complies to our pet policy.
Is there someone on-site for maintenance?
Yes. You can report any issues quickly through the Hone Residents App. Our maintenance team are proactive; they get ahead of any potential faults. They always aim to fix things as fast as possible should something go wrong.
Is parking available?
We always have disabled parking, parking for our resident’s move-in and move-out days and parking for our contractors. Our sites always have great public transport links.
Is there bike storage?
Yes. This is one of the priorities for us on every site. Ensuring that residents bikes can be secured and covered. And that there is space for lockers and bike maintenance – and at no extra cost to them.
What shared spaces are there?
This really depends on each location. And are listed against each location on this website. We always look to maximise each site for our resident’s well-being. Multi-use spaces to relax, work, connect and host. E.g. Lounges, co-working spaces, roof terraces or courtyards – whatever each site can facilitate.
Are there front desk services?
Yes. There is always a friendly 24-hour concierge at all our sites. There to make all aspects of our resident’s living experience run smoothly and of course facilitate safe storage of parcels and post.
What’s the minimum lease?
All leases are 24 months with a 12-month break clause.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. You can choose between a traditional security deposit or using Flatfair. Flatfair lets you pay a smaller upfront cost instead of a full deposit. We can explain both options when you apply, so that you can decide what works best for you.
How do I pay rent?
Rent is paid monthly via a standing order. You’ll receive a rent schedule in advance, so you know exactly what to expect.
Is there a lift for moving in?
Yes. All buildings have lift access and we can guide you to the best entrance for move-in day. If you’re bringing large items, just let us know ahead of time.
Can I park for moving in?
Yes. And you arrange this in advance with us.
Do you run resident events?
Yes. From casual get-togethers to curated workshops and socials, we love bringing people together. Just join in if and when it suits you.
Can I have guests over?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to have friends and family visit. For communal spaces, we just ask that guests are accompanied by you and are considerate of other residents.
Is there disability access?
Yes. We ensure all our sites are accessible developments including disabled parking and step free access and lifts. We are happy to discuss your requirements with you and make any adjustments as required to help you enjoy your home.
